Parrish Reed, 17, was allegedly stabbed to death by his older sister on December 5. The stabbing occurred in the 12100 block of San Fernando Road in an apartment building, said Officer April Harding of LAPD Media Relations.

The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Amber Reed. According to detectives, Amber stabbed her younger brother in the chest with a kitchen knife following an argument over money. Parish was found bleeding inside the apartment around 8:40 p.m. He was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead. Amber was arrested at the apartment on suspicion of murder and was being held in lieu of $1 million bail, said Officer Harding.
