A 53-year-old man who was killed after an argument with another resident of a boarding house near the Convention Center has been identified as 53-year-old Gil Deleon. According to police reports, the killer allegedly attacked Deleon with a “edged weapon” – stabbing him multiple times in the upper torso November 2.

Deleon was apparently attacked in the Catholic Kolping House's hallway about 6:48 p.m. located at 1225 South Union Avenue. The 50-year-old suspect and the victim were longtime residents of the boarding house. The suspect, who police believe may have been drinking, was taken into custody shortly after the knife attack.
