A Hispanic man was beaten to death with a piece of broken concrete during an apparent robbery gone bad. Victor Dominguez, 25, died of his injuries September 13, the day after the brutal attack.

His assailant, who was described as a male Hispanic around 25 years old, made off with Dominguez's silver bracelet. According to police reports, Dominguez lived in the area and worked at the Santa Monica Pier. The incident, which took place at 2:50 a.m. in the 1600 block of South St. Andrew's Place, was the sixth homicide so far this year in LAPD's Olympic Division.
