Police officers responded to a call about a woman screaming on August 28. When they arrived at the apartment in the 900 block of North Mariposa Avenue just before 8 p.m., they found 24-year-old Guadalupe Carrillo.

Carillo had been stabbed multiple times in the upper torso and neck. Police don't believe the stabbing attack was gang-related. Anyone with information should contact Rampart Division detectives at (213) 484-3400.
