A 35-year-old man was shot to death in a robbery gone bad near Filipinotown on August 22. Ching Tseng was killed about 6 a.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of West

Sixth Street.

According to police reports, an Hispanic male who appeared to be around 25 years old approached Tseng, asking for his money and car before shooting him and driving off with three other suspects, including a female. Tseng was rushed to a hospital by paramedics but died of his injuries a short time later. Police believe the motive was robbery.
