The Los Angeles Police Department is looking for a suspect who fatally shot 17-year-old Brandon Jamal Perry on August 22.

Perry was gunned down around 11:45 p.m. as he was standing with a group of people in front of a residence in the 6400 block of South Seventh Avenue. According to preliminary police reports, the shooter got out of a car at the corner of West 64th Street and Seventh Avenue, and began firing multiple rounds at the group — four of whom were hit by gunfire. Perry and two of the victims were taken to a local hospital where Perry was pronounced dead. The other victims are expected to survive. Police are unclear of the motive and the suspect remains at large. Anyone with information should contact 77th Division detectives at (213) 485-1383.
