View Larger MapThe man suspected in a series of stabbings in the Hollywood area that left two dead and two others injured was charged today in court with murder and attempted murder in connection with the attacks. Domingo Linares Rodas, 53, was earlier incorrectly identified by officials as 54-year-old Damian Durado.

Rodas is accused of stabbing 43-year-old Keith Falin at 2 p.m., on August 6 outside the Music Box Theatre at 6124 Hollywood Boulevard. Falin, apparently a homeless man, was asleep when he was assaulted. He later died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Another victim, Ronald Vaughn, was stabbed not far away, near Argyle Avenue and Yucca Street, but he is expected to survive.

Rodas is suspected in another fatal stabbing earlier the same day just blocks away from those stabbings at 5525 Sunset Boulevard. According to preliminary reports, the victim has been identified as 51-year-old Roger Cota, who died of his stab wounds. Another non-fatal stabbing followed a short time later but police are still investigating the details of that incident.

According to police sources, identifying the victims took longer than normal because most of them were transients. Rodas appeared in court on Monday afternoon in connection with the charges filed against him.
