The Hispanic male who was shot to death on July 8 while standing on the corner of 28th Street and Central Avenue, near Tam's Burgers, was identified as 23-year-old Christobal Perez.

According to preliminary police reports, Perez was approached by an African American male around 9:30 p.m. The suspect fired multiple rounds, striking Perez several times. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries just after midnight on July 9.
