Christine PelisekPolice are searching for three men they believe are responsible for the shooting death of 37-year-old Laquinn Tucker in Exposition Park.
Tucker was standing on the front porch of a home in the 800 block of West 43rd Street on Friday night, June 5, when he was approached by four presumed gang members and shot by one of them in the chest.
The police believe the shooter is 22-year-old Jimmy Hernandez who had an altercation with Tucker at a market south of Exposition Park. According to the police, earlier that day at a market, Tucker asked Hernandez for $5. Hernandez blew him off, telling him he had no money. Then, once outside, Tucker allegedly attacked Hernandez with a stick.

Later that night, accompanied by gang members, Hernandez allegedly sought his revenge on Tucker after he approached him on the porch and asked if he had been at the market earlier in the day. When Tucker admitted to being at the market, Hernandez shot him in the chest. Tucker was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The four men fled the scene but Hernandez was later arrested at his home. He is being held on $1 million bail.
