A homeless man was stabbed to death on Canada's birthday, July 1, as he was waiting in line for food at a food distribution center on the corner of Carlos Avenue and Vista Del Mar Street in Hollywood.

Craig Wright, 50, apparently got into a verbal altercation with 43-year-old Rodrigo Sosa while the two men were standing in line. The argument escalated and Wright was stabbed several times in the chest.

As Wright was being taken away by paramedics to a local hospital, a passerby flagged down police officers and pointed towards Sosa as the attacker. Sosa was picked up a few blocks away. According to police reports, officers found the bloody knife used in the stabbing on Sosa.
