Four Hospitalized Following Bus Collision on Market Street in Oakland

OAKLAND, CA (October 26, 2021) – A bus crash on Tenth Street left a bus driver and seven passengers hospitalized Friday afternoon.

Initially, authorities began pursuing a Toyota Camry along the Contra Costa County shortly after 2:00 p.m.

Consequently, they witnessed the moment the driver crashed into the AC Transit bus, causing it to crash into a home on Tenth and Market Street.

According to the investigators, the alleged suspects include four men, ages 18 to 21. Additionally, all four suspects in the stolen car also were injured, with two in critical condition.

Ultimately, paramedics transported the injured parties to a hospital for further treatment. Two were said to be suffering from major injuries and two suffered minor injuries.

Upon further inspection, the CHP discovered two handguns and an assault rifle inside the stolen Toyota. At this time, the charges against the suspects are pending.

Oakland Officials are still currently investigating the incident.
