Metro Bus Driver Hospitalized after T-Bone Crash on Clarendon Avenue

HUNTINGTON PARK, CA (August 3, 2022) – Early Monday morning, multiple were injured after a vehicle struck a metro bus on Pacific Boulevard.

The incident occurred just after 1:00 a.m., at the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Clarendon Avenue.

Per reports, the driver of a silver 2000 Scion was traveling east on Clarendon when they ran a red light at the intersection. The Scion then T-boned the Metro Bus, pushing the bus into a nearby light pole.

Upon impact, the Scion driver fled the scene on foot.

Shortly after, firefighters responded and extricated the driver from the bus. Eventually, paramedics transported three patients to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
