Southbound Lanes Closed after Multiple Crashes on 710 Freeway

BELL GARDENS, CA (November 1, 2021) Multiple crashes on 710 Freeway made the Sunday night commute heavy in Bell Gardens.

An issued SigAlert near Bell Gardens resulted on closed lanes shortly before 8:00 p.m. on October 24.

The CHP said the accidents closed the southbound lanes of the 710 at Florence Avenue.

Shortly after, authorities opened the northbound lanes. Traffic, on the other hand, was backed up for miles when a person was hit after wrecking his automobile off the shoulder and then walked across the lanes.

Furthermore, another multi-vehicle accident occurred on the northbound side.

Consequently, Nos. 3 and 4 southbound lanes reopened around 9:05 p.m., while all others remained blocked.

At this time, authorities are conducting active investigation of the crash, once available more information will be released.
