Road Reopens after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 580

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 28, 2021)  A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 580 resulted in injuries and road closure Saturday evening in San Francisco.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on October 23, in the area along Interstate Highway 580.

The California Highway Patrol responded after receiving reports of collision between six vehicles. Although, the main cause of the crash remains unknown.

Responding officers reported injuries but they did not specify the extent and number of those injuries.

At this time, police said it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Furthermore, officers closed off the road for several hours for cleanup, but has reopened after 9:00 p.m.

Authorities are currently investigating the multi-vehicle crash on Highway 580.
