Stern (top) and law logo2x bDr. Sandeep Kapoor (bottom) were provided by the Whittier Police Department in connection with charges that the two men, along with psychiatrist Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, conspired and supplied the late Anna Nicole Smith with a controlled substance.  Smith died of a prescription drug overdose in 2007.

“On March 12th, 2009, Sandeep Kapoor and Howard K. Stern were booked at the Whittier Police Department at 7:13pm and 8:27pm, respectively. Both men were booked on warrants on behalf of the California Attorney General's Office and released on $20,000 bail at 9:15pm. This represents the extent of the Whittier Police Department's involvement in the case . . .”

Tomorrow at 10 a.m. Attorney General Jerry Brown will hold an unusual press conference at his 300 S. Spring Street office at  to discuss the case.
