Where’d You Go, Bernadette is a star vehicle for the versatile Cate Blanchett. In Richard Linklater’s latest film, she plays an agoraphobic architect who disappears one day without a trace, leaving her 15-year-old daughter (Emma Nelson) to do the detective work. Based on a bestselling novel by Maria Semple, the film was adapted by Linklater, Holly Gent, and Vincent Palmo, Jr. Annapurna originally slated it for a May 2018 release; it finally opens this Friday.
