UCLA’s Catch a Thrill! screening series continues with a rocking double feature harvested from the American Genre Film Archive. Suburbia is a warm look back at L.A.’s burgeoning punk scene—a narrative companion to director Penelope Spheeris’s lauded documentary The Decline of Western Civilization. Closing the program is a new 2K restoration of Rock ‘N’ Roll High School, the 1979 Allan Arkush comedy featuring music by The Ramones. Spheeris will appear between films for a conversation onstage.

UCLA’s Billy Wilder Theater, 10899 Wilshire Blvd., Westwood; Fri., Aug. 17, 7:30 p.m.; $10. (310) 206-8013, cinema.ucla.edu.
