Playmobil: The Movie represents STX Films’ attempt to get in on some of that Lego Movie money. Viewers familiar with the line of themed toys that became popular in the 1970s may not mind seeing their favorite plastic figures crack wise in a second-rate spy plot, but this romp is aimed mostly at kids 10 and under. Daniel Radcliffe, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jim Gaffigan, Gabriel Bateman, Adam Lambert, Kenan Thompson and Meghan Trainor make up the bulk of the voice talent. Lino DiSalvo, who headed the animation team behind Frozen, directed. Opening wide.
