Armenian-Canadian animator and experimental filmmaker Gariné Torossian will visit LA Filmforum for her first Los Angeles retrospective. Many of her highly mediated 16mm works, which span a period of 25 years, explore notions of national identity and memory in a richly poetic montage style. The program is entitled Gariné Torossian: More than Strictly Visible Things.
