Rider Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Collision near Barton Road

COLTON, CA (November 15, 2021) – Early Wednesday evening, a motorcyclist was pronounced dead after a crash on 215 Freeway. 

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m., after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Per reports, the motorcyclist was traveling south on the freeway, just north of Barton Road, when traffic began to slow down. The rider then applied his brakes and lost control of the bike before skidding out. 

Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Moreover, authorities closed the area during cleanup and preliminary investigations, but the road has since reopened.

Law enforcement do not suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. However, more information will be provided once made available.
