Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Crash near Las Pulgas Road

CAMP PENDLETON, CA (August 19, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, Griffin Williams was killed in a horse-trailer collision on Interstate 5.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m., just north of Las Pulgas Road.

According to reports, Williams, riding a Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle, hit the rear end of an empty horse trailer attached to a Ford F250 pickup truck.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the crash shortly after and declared  20-year-old Griffin Williams dead at the scene. Officials closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
