Centralia Man Dies in Motorcycle Collision on US Route 12

THURSTON COUNTY, CA (August 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon following a motorcycle crash on US Route 12 in Thurston County.

The fatal crash happened around 5:00 p.m. July 25th, on U.S. Route 12 near Rochester.

According to the  reports, the motorcyclist was heading west on the highway when the driver of a 2008 Chevy Corvette crossed the road from Forstrom Street and struck him.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding paramedics later pronounced the 62-year-old motorcyclist of Centralia, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, police said the driver, a 65-year-old Chehalis man, sustained minor injuries and is expected to fully recover.

Furthermore, officials shut down the road for about three hours for clearing and investigation.
