Motorcycle Crash on Loop 202 Kills One Rider

PHOENIX, AZ ( September 10, 2021 ) – Monday morning, a motorcycle crash on loop 202, near SR 143, claimed the life of one rider.

The crash took place before 11 a.m. at the Loop 202 at the SR 143 exit, as stated by report.

According to witnesses, a motorcycle may have been racing another vehicle at the moment of impact, which led to the fatal collision.

Emergency crews arrived and declared the rider dead on the scene.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), the 202 eastbound lanes near SR 143 are blocked. The lanes were reopened just after 12:30 p.m.

An ongoing investigation is still underway.
