Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Lomas Boulevard

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (September 9, 2021) – Sunday evening, an unidentified motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Lomas Boulevard.

The collision took place at the intersection of Lomas Boulevard and Louisiana Boulevard, as stated by the report.

According to police, the motorcyclist was heading west when a four-door sedan that was traveling eastbound suddenly turned in front of the rider, causing the motorcycle to t-bone the sedan.

Furthermore, the rider was thrown from his bike due to the crash.

The rider was wearing a helmet at the time, but sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the University of New Mexico Hospital.

Unfortunately, the rider died due to the extent of his injuries while at the hospital.

According to reports, the driver of the sedan remained at the site and cooperated with police.

Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a contributing factor in the fatal collision. However, an active investigation is underway.
