Traffic Collision near San Jacinto Drive Left One Rider Hurt

SAN DIEGO, CA (April 21, 2022) – Friday evening, a rider sustained injuries after a vehicle collision on Imperial Avenue, police said.

The collision happened in the 5200 block of Imperial Avenue, near the intersection with San Jacinto Drive, around 8:45 p.m.

Furthermore, the 38-year-old motorcyclist attempted to pass into a 2016 Cadillac turning left into a marked left turn lane.

Consequently, the motorcycle struck the side of the Cadillac driven by a 57-year-old man, causing the rider to be thrown away from his bike.

Eventually the rider was hospitalized for further treatment of various injuries, according to the officials, his condition is not life-threatening.
