Suspected Drunk Driver Injures Motorcyclist in Pacific Beach Crash

PACIFIC BEACH, CA (June 29, 2021) – Authorities arrested a driver who injured a motorcyclist in a DUI crash on Haines Street last Tuesday.

Reports of the incident arrived just before 2:00 p.m., in the intersection of Grand Avenue and Haines Street.

Investigators later determined that a 2000 Toyota Camry drove into the path of a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle. As a result, the motorcyclist received open fractures in his right wrist, right leg and left arm.

Afterwards, the paramedics transported the rider to a nearby hospital for further treatment and only described him as a 25-year-old man.

Meanwhile, the officers arrested the 26-year-old DUI driver on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

At this time, the Pacific Beach authorities are investigating the DUI crash on Haines Street. No further details have been provided.
