37-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in T-Bone Crash on R Street

EUREKA, CA (August 15, 2022) – Saturday night, a motorcyclist was hospitalized after a speeding driver ran a red light on 5th Street.

The incident happened shortly after 7:00 p.m., near R Street. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

According to a witness, a driver was speeding towards the intersection and ran a red light. There, the white vehicle struck the motorcyclist.

Upon impact, the 37-year-old motorcyclist suffered a broken leg and back pain. Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the number 1 and 2 lanes of 5th Street were shut down during cleanup and preliminary duties.

No further details regarding the collision have been released to the public; however, more information will be provided about the driver who ran a red light on 5th Street once available.
