Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident on Briarwood Drive

SAN JOSE, CA (August 1, 2022) – Thursday morning, a motorcyclist was pronounced dead following a 2-vehicle crash on Curtner Avenue.

The incident happened just after 8:00 a.m., at the intersection of Curtner Avenue and Briarwood Drive.

Investigators said a 2009 Toyota sedan made a left turn onto westbound Curtner Avenue and collided with an eastbound motorcycle.

Eventually, medical responders arrived and declared the rider dead at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the female Toyota driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Crews closed down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

At this time, San Jose Officials continue to investigate the 2-vehicle crash on Curtner Avenue. Once available, further details will be provided.
