Motorcycle Crash near Robin Williams Tunnel Left One Fatality

SAUSALITO, CA (February 25, 2022) – Thursday morning, a rider died following a traffic accident on Highway 101, authorities said.

The crash occurred at 6:47 a.m., in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near the Robin Williams Tunnel.

According to authorities, the motorcycle rider lost control for unknown reasons. As a result, the rider sustained severe injuries and ended up in the slow lane.

Meanwhile, a vehicle driver tried to block the approaching vehicles to protect the victim from being hit. However, due to the extent of his injuries, the motorcyclist died at the scene.

All motorists were advised to divert to Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. No additional details in the crash were released. However, an investigation into the traffic accident on Highway 101 remains underway.
