Rider Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Collision on Ash Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 19, 2022) – Early Friday morning, one man was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on 1st Avenue.
The crash happened around 2:00 a.m., at the intersection of 1st Avenue and Ash Street.
According to reports, a man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle at a high rate of speed on 1st Avenue when he ran a red light. There, the motorcyclist struck a Toyota Prius that was traveling through the intersection.
Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced the 32-year-old rider dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.
Meanwhile, paramedics took the Prius driver to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. At this time, an active investigation into the motorcycle accident on 1st Avenue is still currently underway.
