40-Year-Old Mother and 7-Year-Old Son Struck by Vehicle near Redwood Road

CASTRO VALLEY, CA (February 17, 2023) – Monday morning, two people were struck and injured in a pedestrian crash on Proctor Road. The crash happened at about 7:50 a.m., February 6th, just west of Redwood Road. According to the deputies, a 40-year-old mother and her 7-year-old son were on their way to Proctor Elementary School when the incident occurred. Investigation showed that an Infinity QX60 driven by a 38-year-old female driver was traveling east on Proctor Road when she made a turn and collided with the pedestrians. Furthermore, both the mother and the child suffered severe wounds and were both transported immediately to the hospital for further treatment.
