Best New Chef Dinners

For two evenings, Ricardo Zarate, Stephane Bombet, Food GPS and Food & Wine host a collaborative, multicourse dinner to celebrate the magazine's Best New Chef honorees at Paiche in Marina del Rey. Each night will feature a tag-team effort, with Tuesday showcasing the culinary stylings of Zarate and Naomi Pomeroy (a 2009 Food & Wine Best New Chef); then Wednesday Zarate returns with Jamie Bissonnette (a 2013 James Beard Award Finalist) and Viet Pham (a 2011 Food & Wine Best New Chef). Reservations are available; depending on availability, walk-ins are also welcome.

WHAT: Best New Chef Dinners

WHEN: Tuesday, March 26, and Wednesday, March 27; on both nights, seating begins at 5:30 p.m.

COST: $52 per person for five courses on Tuesday; $62 per person for six courses on Wednesday. Prices are not inclusive of tax, gratuity or signature cocktails at $10 each.

Italian Passover Dinner

The four-course prix-fixe dinner at Culina Modern Italian begins with antipasti, followed by soup, entrée and dessert. Reservations are required and may be made online or by phone.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 26-Wednesday, March 27; seating begins at 6 p.m.

COST: $55 per person, not including tax and gratuity.

Marcona's First Anniversary

In honor of its first anniversary on March 20, Marcona will offer its East Coast deli-meets-Mediterranean sandwiches for $3.29 (each) from noon until 4 p.m. this Friday. The sandwiches available for order include the Lomo (a pulled pork ciabatta sandwich with grilled onions, harissa, mustard and arugula) as well as the VBQ (a vegan BBQ meatloaf on ciabatta with caramelized onions and arugula). The updated menu includes creations by new chef Andy Sonnefeld.
