If you'll recall from your vast knowledge of the Star Wars universe, Darth Vader and bounty hunter Boba Fett arranged for the the half-witted, scruffy-looking Nerf herder to be thrust in a plume of liquid nitrogen-like fog, encased in carbonite, and securely packaged so Fett could deliver his bounty to Jabba the Hutt waiting on Tatooine.
There was only one Solo in the saga, of course, but the tray allows you to make re-create the scene seven times, with one large (3.5 inch) and six small (1.75 inch) molds. To maximize your fun, ThinkGeek has a wonderfully nerdy tip on how to make crystal clear ice. The site recommends that you boil the water, let it cool, boil it again, and cool it one last time before pouring the water into the tray. This process “deareates the water (i.e., forces dissolved air molecules out).”
The possibilities are endless, really: the site suggests that you use the tray to make Han Solo-in-Carbonite chocolate bars. We recommend making Han-Solo-in-Carbonite freezer pops. We have a very good feeling about this.
