Fatal Motorcycle Collision near Willow Avenue in Fresno

FRESNO, CA (October 7, 2021) – Late Sunday morning, 21-year-old Mohammed Shumaila was killed in a motorcycle crash on Friant Road.

Officers responded to the incident around 11:00 a.m., just north of Willow Avenue after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

According to the investigators, Shumaila was riding a gray Yamaha at a high rate of speed. As he attempted to make a slight left turn, he lost control of the bike. As a result, he veered off the right shoulder before becoming airborne and landing in a rocky water drainage ditch.

Due to the impact, Shumaila was thrown off his bike and into a nearby embankment. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

At this time, no further information has been released. Fresno officials are investigating the fatal incident.
