Authorities this week were searching for the driver of a black Ford Mustang with likely windshield and front-end damage in connection with the hit-and-run death of 20-year-old Jamie O'Connell, a Pennsylvania college student.

O'Connell's body was found early Saturday morning on the northbound 405 freeway near Getty Center Drive, but it wasn't identified until Monday afternoon. In the meantime his family was searching for him after he was last seen attending a nearby graduation party in Bel Air.

A California Highway Patrol officer told Fox 11 News that O'Connell was hit by two seperate cars that night. He had left the party about 2 a.m. Saturday, according to Los Angeles police.

His family hired a private detective and a scent-tracking bloodhound while distributing fliers door-to-door in an effort to find the student.
