A missing, 19-year-old British woman was found in Venice Thursday, Santa Monica Police said. Leona Dawn Perryman was picked up, with the help of a tipster, at 30th Avenue and Ocean Front Walk, near Venice Pier, police said. Detectives planned to interview her regarding her whereabouts over the last two weeks.

Perryman's boyfriend, 45-year-old Brit Paul Alfred Atkinson, reported her missing after she left their Santa Monica motel room Dec. 18, telling him she was going to an internet cafe. Atkinson said it wasn't unusual for her to drift away for days.

After police lost touch with him they asked for the public's help find Atkinson so they could “re-interview” him. Atkinson was spotted Wednesday at a restaurant in Venice, and police told the Weekly today that they believed no foul play was involved in the disappearance.

He was being held, however, on a weapons charge after police said they found a small knife in his possession. Perryman was being checked out at a hospital. The pair had planed to return to England next week.
