Incapacitated Driver Fatally Strikes Man near Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road

EASTVALE, CA (September 24, 2021) – Monday night, 25-year-old Miguel Diaz Mendoza was fatally struck by a car on Goodman Road.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m., at the 5200 block of Goodman Road. Officers arrived just south of Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road.

Upon further investigation, officials claimed that a driver of a sedan experienced an unspecified medical emergency.

Afterwards, the vehicle veered off the road and crashed through a metal fence, where it struck Mendoza.

Paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced 25-year-old Miguel Diaz Mendoza dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver and the passenger of the sedan sustained minor injuries from the collision.

The Eastvale Police are encouraging anyone with information about the crash to contact the sheriff’s Jurupa Valley station at 951-955-2600.
