A nightclub that has risen from the ashes, and hot firefighters. What a match! OK, the puns will stop now.

Anyway, the social and cultural landmark Micky's in West Hollywood celebrates its official re-opening on Wednesday, June 10 at an event that sounds like a perfect crossover event for the WeHo community and families with small children. The plaque dedication and ribbon cutting — or strand of AussieBum underwear cutting, technically — honors the West Hollywood Fire Department for saving the structure two years ago. Public officials will be there starting at 4:00 p.m., and then later on Micky's Firemen Gogo Boys do their thing. Actually, this probably isn't something to bring your firefighter-obsessed toddler to.

A very different flavor of event is happening a little further west on Wednesday when Madame Chocolat in Beverly Hills hosts Ladies Night Out from 6-10:00 p.m. The girly girl, crystal chandelier-adorned chocolate and confectionery shop will share hors d'oeuvres, sweets, entertainment, raffles and a gift bag for every guest. (Entrance tickets $10, purchase in advance here.)
