38-Year-Old Killed in Bicycle Accident on Yellow Stone Avenue

MODESTO, CA (March 17, 2022) – Early Sunday evening, Michelle Johnson, was killed in a DUI bicycle crash on Woodland Avenue.

The deadly collision happened around 5:45 p.m., on Woodland and Yellow Stone Avenue.

According to reports, Johnson was crossing the street on a bicycle when she was struck by a 2017 Acura ILX struck the victim.

Due to the impact of the collision, Johnson suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics responded and transported her for further treatment. Due to the extent of her condition, Johnson succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

In addition, the female driver of the Acura was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Crews ultimately arrested her on suspicion of DUI.

At this time, an investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and police are asking for witnesses and the public’s cooperation.
