21-Year-Old Man Dies in 10-Car Collision on Interstate 82

GRANGER, WA (January 7, 2022) – On Wednesday, 21-year-old Michael Hamilton died in a 10-car collision on Interstate 82.

At around 6 a.m., the 10-car pileup happened on Interstate 82.

The WSP responded to a report of a multi-vehicle collision that happened under unclear circumstances.

Officials said Hamilton ended up being struck by his own car when someone rear-ended it. Tragically, medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Paramedics also took three other people with injuries to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, troopers closed off the area for clearing operations.

At this time, authorities believe the icy road conditions may be factor in the collision, however, an active investigation is still underway.
