Pedestrian Crash in Canyon Lake Results in Fatality

CANYON LAKE, CA (June 22, 2021) – Thursday morning, 29-year-old Michael Dubay was fatally struck while crossing Railroad Canyon Road.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal incident occurred around 2:40 a.m., on Railroad Canyon Road near Canyon Lake Drive.

Police determined that a vehicle struck Dubway while he was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk. Afterwards, the driver of the involved vehicle stopped and called 911.

Shortly after, medical personnel arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The driver was uninjured and remained at the scene for questioning.

Later, the authorities identified the deceased victim as 29-year-old Micheal Dublay, of Riverside.

At this time, the Canyon Lake Police are investigating the incident.
