39-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Orangewood Avenue in Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE, CA (March 18, 2021) – Early Friday morning, 39-year-old Michael Clugston was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Euclid Street.

The crash occurred around 2:10 a.m., on Orangewood Avenue and Euclid Street. CHP officers arrived to the area shortly after.

According to reports, the events leading up to the crash are unknown. Although, a Dodge RAM slammed into another vehicle at a high rate of speed.

Due to the impact of the collision, the Dodge sheared a fire hydrant before crashing through a wall. Then, the truck landed upside down in a backyard pool, killing the male driver and passenger.

Medics say Clugston suffered critical injuries before he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His family has created a GoFundMe page to support them during these difficult times.

At this time, it has not yet been determined if alcohol or drugs played a factor. However, police have indicated that the Dodge was involved in a pursuit chase prior to the collision.
