18-Year-Old Man Hospitalize Following Two-Vehicle Collision near Grant Road

TUCSON, AZ (January 25, 2023) – Thursday morning, Michael Cantwell Sturgis died after a car accident on North Craycroft Road.

The incident happened on January 19th, at around 8:30 a.m., near the intersection of North Craycroft Road and East Grant Road.

According to reports, 69-year-old Sturgis was driving his 2021 Ford Expedition traveling westbound on Grant Road. Sturgis attempted to make a left turn on southbound Craycroft Road, there, he collided with a Lexus Sedan driven by an 18-year-old man heading eastbound.

As a result, both drivers suffered serious injuries and were transported to the hospital. Later that night, at the hospital, Micheal Cantwell Sturgis succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
