One Man Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash near Kyler Road
ELK GROVE, CA (December 8, 2022) – On Wednesday, police arrested Michael Brown after a fatal hit-and-run on West Stockton Boulevard.
The incident took place around 5:18 a.m. near Kyler Road and Whitelock Parkway.
According to reports, a driver struck the pedestrian under unknown circumstances and fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Authorities used traffic cameras to track the suspect’s car to a house in North Sacramento. Police eventually arrested the owner of the vehicle, 54-year-old Brown, who showed signs of impairment at the house.
CHP booked Brown into the Sacramento County main jail on charges of deadly hit-and-run and driving under the influence, he also had an active warrant out for his arrest for another charge of DUI.
At this time, authorities only described the victim as a 62-year-old man. His name was withheld pending notification of kin.
