36-Year-Old Michael Alvarez Arrested a DUI Collision on Cohasset Road That Injured 1 Pedestrian

CHICO, CA (October 14, 2021)  On Monday, police arrested Michael Alvarez, 36, of Chico after he struck a person while driving under the influence on Cohasset Road.

The accident occurred just after 11:30 p.m. on October 11 in the 2800 block of Cohasset Road near Lupin Avenue.

As per CHP, they received reports of a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian and vehicle.

Responding officers discovered the injured person lying on the shoulder of the road.

Paramedics then took the victim to the hospital with injuries that are non life-threatening.

Officers located Alvarez, and he stated that he was a passenger at the time and had no knowledge of the driver or the whereabouts of the car.

Police eventually arrested Michael Alvarez on suspicion of DUI and felony hit-and-run.
