A day after a memorial was held for Monica Beresford-Redman, reports indicated that Mexican prosecutors on Monday would recommend murder charges against her husband, former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman.

However, as slow as the investigation has been into her early April death in Cancun, the process of bringing charges against a suspect seems to be just as deliberate in Mexico: A judge will weigh the prosecutors' case before officially bringing possible charges against Bruce Beresford-Redman, if that happens at all.

The producer was a no show at her memorial at Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City, and so were the couple's kids, who were kept away by a judge's order.

Witnesses said they heard the couple fighting in their Cancun hotel room the night before she was reported missing. Her body was soon found near the hotel. As the owner of nightspot and Brazilian eatery Zabumba in Palms, Monica Beresford-Redman was a fixture in the Brazilian community.

Bruce Beresford-Redman had been ordered by authorities to stay in Mexico as they investigated the case, but he slipped back into the United States last week and has been seen at his Rancho Palos Verdes home. He is still considered a suspect.
