67-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Palm Springs Two-Vehicle Crash

PALM SPRINGS, CA (October 18, 2021) Merinko Williams, 67, of Palm Springs lost his life in a two-vehicle accident on Sunrise Way.

The crash happened at about 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of N Sunrise Way and E Tacheva Drive last Tuesday.

According to the CHP, Williams collided with another car at the intersection for reasons that are yet unknown.

Paramedics transported Williams to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, medics rushed the driver of the second vehicle, who had minor injuries, to the hospital.

At this time, alcohol or illegal substances was not considered as a factor in this accident for both drivers involved, according to CHP.

An active investigation, on the other hand, remains ongoing.
