45-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near Fargo Avenue

HANFORD, CA (January 25, 2023) – Monday morning, Melody Dias was killed and Armando Banuelos was hurt in a big-rig crash on Highway 43.

The incident happened around 5:00 a.m., just north of Fargo Avenue.

According to reports, the driver of a Scion veered into the oncoming lanes and collided head-on with a big-rig. Due to the impact of the crash, the female driver of the Scion suffered life-threatening injuries.

Medics arrived and pronounced 45-year-old Dias dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the semi-truck driver, 72-year-old Banuelos to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
