This Mel Gibson thing ain't getting any better. Any hopes of him being able to pull an Alec Baldwin (appearing on SNL, starring in a beloved if not under-watched prime-time show) appear to have been dashed by the release of what has been billed as yet another taped tirade against baby mama Oksana Grigorieva. Call it the Mad Max Remix.

In the latest version, also obtained by RadarOnline, Gibson threatens Grigorieva's life, saying, “I'll put you in a f *ckin rose garden you c*nt! You understand that? Because I'm capable of it. You understand that?”

Of course, if you ask us, it's a set up. Gibson and Grigorieva are battling for custody of their 7-month-old Lucia. She baited Gibson, recorded him, and he blew a gasket like the Lethal Weapon he is.

Not to excuse Gibson's apparent threats: It looks like the Australian thespian with volcanic tendencies has met his match.

But even as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has stated that it is reviewing the tape, we have to wonder about its legality: It's against the law in the state of California to tape a phone conversation without consent or a warrant.
