35-Year-Old Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Mormon Rocks

PHELAN, CA (November 30, 2022) Late Friday morning, Meiying Ma was killed and a child was airlifted after a 2-car collision on Highway 138.

The crash happened around 11:06 a.m., between Cajon Boulevard and Lone Pine Canyon Road on November 25th.

Responding units discovered a gold 2000 Nissan Altima and a white Toyota Sequoia with significant damages upon arrival. However, the events leading up still remain unclear.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 35-year-old Ma, of Walnut dead at the scene. Crews also requested a helicopter to transport one critically injured child to a nearby hospital. 

The Toyota driver was also rushed to a hospital as a precaution. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

At this time, Phelan Officials continue to investigate the further circumstances surrounding the accident.
